  • My opinion on HughesNet



    In my opinion, HughesNet is not a good ISP. I have the next to last inexpensive program, which is still 66.95 per month, and I believe that they provide me with bad service to get me to purchase a more expensive program. My viewing of videos freezes every second for at least 1 to 2 seconds. Doesn't sound like much, but is very irritating while viewing. Also, you need to check the billing on line every month because they have added extra charges to my account for no reason.   • Serious Complaint



    Although hughesnet is, despite what most are saying, an improvement compared to dial up which is right up there with nothing, I would expect more respect as a consumer, and loyal customer. 5 years I have been using there service, and was quite happy when gen 4 came out, a huge improvement over the previous top choice of there installation. My overall problem is with the *respect* that they seem to not give. They have the most rude customer relations I have ever known. You do get charged to replace faulty equipment that THEY install.   • RIPOFF



    Had hughes net for over 3 years, gets worse all the time, could not get anything else but dial up. a year ago they offered an upgrade, but had two sign another 2 year contract to get service they should of already providing. I did this it was a out right scam from someone I was already a customer of. service did not get any better & has got worse the last few months. better than dial up, maybe but do you want to do business with someone who looks for ways to rip you off.
